Earthing / Grounding

A topic that does not receive nearly the attention that it should as it relates to the health of the human organism is Grounding or Earthing. Simply put, it is barefoot or bare skin contact with The Earth and it has been shown to be powerfully helpful for the overall homeostasis of the human body and other living organisms. It can also be profoundly beneficial in helping the human body stave off and even help manage disease, aches and pain, wound and injury healing, movement and a number of other things as it relates to how we work. It is also very beneficial in helping manage the effects of a stressed brain and body from various life stressors and other environmental influences (i.e. absorption of electromagnetic fields or EMFs, allergies, molds, etc. See section on this website on “Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs)” for further information.). Some self-assessments on a grounding pad without it plugged in initially and then with it plugged into the ground. These are self-assessments which are reflective not only of the body’s range of motion in these areas but also of its resting state. Decreased movements are suggestive of a heightened nervous system.
