Michael Mullin provides an introduction to the day’s event and a brief tour of the human body….

Cranial Collaboration

So what is a Cranial Collaboration? It is a diverse group of multi-disciplinary professionals who are dedicated to studying, managing and sharing things as they relate to the cranium, gathering to collaborate on ideas, concepts and interventions to help further improve each other’s understanding of—and thus further advance—our respective fields.

Integrative Rehab Training coordinated this inaugural event and hosted an amazing group of forward-thinking professionals on the campus of University of New England in Portland, ME. Osteopaths, neuro-optometrists, TMJ/Sleep dentists, physical therapists, myofunctional therapists, developmental therapists, integrative & fitness rehab specialists were all represented. Deep concepts, many of which are still in their infancy of understanding, were introduced with discussion progressing organically which allowed for tremendous interaction.

The first of its kind in the area, the attendees left with high hopes of more regular gatherings. Stay tuned!

Why?

Why has the frequency of issues such as vertigo, Meniere’s disease, POTS, orthostatic intolerance, tinnitus, autoimmune diseases, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, insulin resistance, etc. increased dramatically over the past few decades?

Do?

Environmental factors (i.e. molds & toxins, EMF’s, microplastics & micrometals, radiofrequencies & high intensity images) potentially play a role in some of the changes in human symptomatology and disease processes?

Standard medical processes properly address our current disease state?

Do some standards of care even potentially exacerbate them?

What?

Can be done about it?

Can help stimulate clinical curiosity to improve our current standards of care?

How?

Can we collectively make a positive change?
